Great for unwinding after a long day at work, or helping erase occasional daily stresses. New MOOD is like a deep breath and a smile in a bottle.

Don’t be “That Guy” (or “That Girl”) New Rules of Gym Etiquette

We all know the Basic rules of gym manors like no curls in the squat racks and keep your unsolicited advice to yourself. But here are 4 of the latest “trends” that annoy gym goers and fitness buffs. If you catch yourself doing any of these please go sit in the corner, you’re on a gym time-out…

  • Save your selfies for your house.

Seeing results is a great thing but there’s a time and place for documenting those results. Standing in the mirror at the gym to take your own picture is just tacky. Plus, if you happen to be in that great of shape that you just can’t help taking your own picture you may be discouraging others around you who haven’t yet achieved the same love of their body. Be an inspiration, not a distraction.

Locker-Room-Push-Ups

  • The locker room is for changing.

The gym is a community. A place for those of us that share a desire for health and self-improvement. But, the locker room, well that’s for changing and the occasional banter with your gym buddy. We’ve all seen that guy who thinks the locker room is just the best place for his final sets of push-ups, crunches or the dreaded naked stretching…

guy-texting-gym-equip

  • Text when you’re done on the equipment.

We all know this guy or girl at the gym. Chances are we’ve been “That Guy”. The gym can get rather packed at times and there’s always someone in need of equipment. Don’t sit around on a machine and text for 20 minutes while completing your 2 sets of 10. Most gyms have nice areas with tables and chairs to sit and chat with your friends. No one minds waiting to use equipment at the gym but get in, get on, and get off… You can LOL and 🙂 all you want when you’re done.

  • Don’t abandon weights you were using.

If you want to leave your underwear on the floor at your house that’s your choice. But, the gym is no place to leave your mess lying around. Re-rack your weights and strip down the bars & machines when you’re done. I know you think that everyone can start off benching or squatting 225 and you’re doing them a favor leaving the plates on but all you’re doing is making the next guy walk around asking everyone in the vicinity “Do you know if someone’s using this?” Courtesy makes it a much better experience all around.
