Tenderloin steaks are naturally high in protein and an amazing source of B12, B6, iron and niacin. Protein eaten throughout the day helps you build lean muscle mass, promotes fullness, helps you resist your cravings and keep your blood glucose levels stable so you don’t feel tired or sluggish. Ingredients
- 4 (4-oz) trimmed tenderloin steaks
- 1 large red onion, sliced into rings and separated
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1/2 tsp salt, divided into 2 ¼ tsp portions
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat broiler.
- Heat up a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat (use a light coating of olive oil to prevent sticking). Place the onion into the pan, cover and cook for 3 min.
- Add your vinegar, honey, and 1/4 teaspoon salt to pan.
- Uncover and reduce the heat to simmer for 10 minutes or until slightly thick (stirring occasionally).
- Sprinkle 1/4 tsp salt, thyme, and pepper over beef. Place beef on a broiler pan(use a light coating of olive oil to prevent sticking). Broil 4 minutes on each side for a nice medium. Add or subtract 1 minute on each side for your desired preparedness.
- Plate the Steaks and drizzle the onion mixture over the top.
